1. INTRODUCTION
Welcome to Gpog Marketplace. By accessing or using our platform (website, mobile app, or services), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.
Gpog Marketplace provides a platform for users to buy, sell, and transact securely using features such as Escrow Protection and GPay Later (Buy Now Pay Later – BNPL).
2. USER ELIGIBILITY
You must be at least 18 years old to use Gpog.
You agree to provide accurate and complete information during registration.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account.
3. ROLE OF GPOG
Gpog acts as an intermediary platform, not the actual buyer or seller.
We do not own, inspect, or guarantee listed products or services.
We provide:
Escrow services
Payment facilitation
Dispute resolution system
4. ESCROW SYSTEM
Gpog provides an escrow system to protect both buyers and sellers.
4.1 Key Escrow Terms
Escrow Funded: Buyer has made payment into Gpog escrow.
Escrow Release to Seller: Payment is released to seller after buyer confirmation.
Buyer Confirm: Buyer confirms satisfaction with product/service.
Full Refund: Entire amount returned to buyer.
Split Payment: Funds shared between buyer and seller based on resolution.
Dispute: A claim raised by buyer or seller regarding a transaction.
4.2 Payment & Release Policy
Once the buyer confirms satisfaction, funds are released to the seller.
Gpog processes seller payouts same day or within 24 hours.
4.3 No Refund After Payment Release
⚠️ IMPORTANT POLICY
Once payment has been released to the seller:
No refunds will be processed by Gpog.
Buyers are strongly advised to:
Inspect goods/services thoroughly
Review agreements (especially for vehicles and properties)
Ensure full satisfaction before confirming
5. BUYER RESPONSIBILITIES
Carefully review product/service details before purchase.
Use escrow for protection.
Confirm only when fully satisfied.
Avoid making payments outside Gpog.
6. SELLER RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide accurate descriptions of products/services.
Deliver as agreed with the buyer.
Respond promptly to disputes and inquiries.
7. DISPUTE RESOLUTION
Both buyer and seller may raise disputes.
7.1 Dispute Tools
Gpog will resolve disputes using:
Enquiry Chat (pre-transaction)
Transaction Chat (after escrow funded)
Agreement confirmation records
Uploaded evidence (videos, images, documents)
7.2 Resolution Outcomes
Gpog may decide:
Full Refund to Buyer
Release to Seller
Split Payment
Gpog’s decision after review shall be final.
7.3 Outside Payments Disclaimer
Any transaction made outside Gpog platform:
❌ Not protected by escrow
❌ Not eligible for dispute resolution
8. GPAY LATER (BUY NOW PAY LATER – BNPL)
8.1 Eligibility
BNPL is not automatically granted upon registration.
Credit limit builds gradually based on:
User activity
Transaction history
Platform engagement
8.2 Usage Rules
Users may purchase items by paying a fraction upfront.
Remaining balance is scheduled for repayment.
8.3 Auto Repayment Policy
Repayments will be automatically deducted from:
User Wallet
Activity Bonus earnings
8.4 Default Consequences
If a user defaults:
Automatic deductions will continue until balance is cleared.
User account may be:
Restricted
Suspended from BNPL access
9. ACTIVITY BONUS
Gpog may reward users for platform activities.
Bonuses may be used for:
Purchases
BNPL repayment
Gpog reserves the right to modify or withdraw bonuses at any time.
10. PROHIBITED ACTIVITIES
Users must not:
Post fraudulent listings
Misrepresent products/services
Engage in scams or deceptive practices
Bypass escrow system intentionally
11. TRANSACTIONS INVOLVING VEHICLES & PROPERTIES
Buyers must:
Conduct proper inspections
Verify ownership documents
Review agreements thoroughly
Gpog is not liable for:
Legal disputes arising after payment release
Ownership or documentation issues
12. FEES & CHARGES
Gpog may charge service or transaction fees.
Fees will be communicated clearly before transactions.
13. ACCOUNT SUSPENSION
Gpog may suspend or terminate accounts for:
Fraudulent activity
Abuse of BNPL
Violation of these Terms
14. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
Gpog shall not be liable for:
Losses due to user negligence
Transactions completed outside the platform
Product defects after buyer confirmation
15. PRIVACY
User data will be handled according to Gpog’s Privacy Policy.
16. MODIFICATION
Gpog reserves the right to update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the platform constitutes acceptance of changes.
17. GOVERNING LAW
These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
