GPOG DISPUTE RESOLUTION POLICY
Last Updated: October 2, 2026
This Dispute Resolution Policy explains how Gpog handles complaints and disputes arising from the use of the Gpog Platform, including Marketplace transactions, memberships, AI services, promotional services, and other Gpog services.
Gpog’s role in resolving disputes depends on the nature of the dispute and the parties involved.
1. GENERAL PRINCIPLE
Gpog provides a platform that enables users to access services and, through the Marketplace, connect with independent Vendors.
For transactions between independent Vendors and Buyers, the Vendor and Buyer are primarily responsible for resolving their own transaction disputes.
Gpog is not ordinarily a party to transactions between independent Vendors and Buyers and does not undertake to investigate, mediate, settle, or resolve every dispute that may arise between them.
2. BUYER-VENDOR DISPUTES
Buyer-Vendor disputes may include matters relating to:
- Product quality or condition.
- Product descriptions or specifications.
- Price or negotiated terms.
- Delivery or collection.
- Payment.
- Returns or refunds.
- Warranties.
- Service quality.
- Delays or failure to fulfil an agreed transaction.
Where such a dispute arises, the Buyer and Vendor should first communicate directly and make reasonable efforts to resolve the matter between themselves.
Because Gpog does not ordinarily collect or hold payment for independent Vendor transactions, Gpog is generally not responsible for issuing refunds or recovering money from a Vendor on behalf of a Buyer.
Similarly, Gpog is generally not responsible for recovering money from a Buyer on behalf of a Vendor.
3. GPOG’S DISCRETION TO ASSIST
Although Gpog does not ordinarily intervene in Buyer-Vendor disputes, Gpog may, at its sole discretion, review or take action where circumstances warrant it.
This may include situations involving:
- Suspected fraud or scams.
- Multiple credible complaints concerning a Vendor or Buyer.
- Illegal or prohibited products or services.
- Misuse of the Gpog Platform.
- False or misleading listings.
- Account abuse.
- Threatening or seriously inappropriate conduct.
- Attempts to manipulate or circumvent Gpog’s systems.
- Conduct that may pose a significant risk to other Gpog users or the integrity of the Marketplace.
Where appropriate, Gpog may take actions including:
- Requesting information from the parties.
- Reviewing available Platform records.
- Removing or restricting a listing.
- Warning a User.
- Restricting Marketplace access.
- Suspending an account.
- Terminating an account.
- Taking other action permitted under Gpog’s Terms and policies.
Gpog is not required to intervene simply because a Buyer or Vendor submits a complaint.
4. NO GUARANTEE OF DISPUTE RESOLUTION
Where Gpog decides to review a dispute, such review does not mean that Gpog becomes a party to the transaction.
Gpog does not guarantee that a dispute will be resolved in favour of either party.
Gpog may decide, based on the available information, that no further action is necessary.
Gpog’s decision to review one dispute does not create an obligation to review similar disputes in the future.
5. DISPUTES CONCERNING GPOG SERVICES
Disputes involving services provided directly by Gpog may be submitted to Gpog Support.
These may include disputes relating to:
- Gpog Membership Plans.
- AI services.
- AI Credits.
- Marketplace promotion packages.
- Gpog-provided products or services.
- Account restrictions.
- Platform functionality.
- Gpog Flex Pay™, where applicable.
Gpog may review such complaints and determine an appropriate response in accordance with the applicable Terms, Refund & Cancellation Policy, transaction terms, and applicable law.
6. EVIDENCE AND INFORMATION
Where Gpog decides to review a complaint, it may consider information reasonably available to it, including:
- Account information.
- Marketplace listing information.
- Messages or communications made through Gpog.
- Transaction references.
- Payment information available to Gpog.
- Photographs, videos, documents, or other evidence submitted by the parties.
- Other relevant Platform records.
Gpog may request additional information where it considers this reasonably necessary.
Gpog is not required to accept or investigate information that it considers unreliable, insufficient, irrelevant, or unverifiable.
7. FRAUD, SCAMS AND SERIOUS MISCONDUCT
Where Gpog reasonably suspects fraud, scams, illegal activity, serious abuse, or other misconduct, Gpog may take action to protect the Platform and its users.
Such action may include restricting or terminating accounts, removing listings, preventing further Marketplace activity, or reporting matters to appropriate authorities where required or considered appropriate.
Gpog may take such action even where the affected parties have not reached an agreement regarding their private dispute.
8. PAYMENT DISPUTES
For independent Marketplace transactions where payment is made directly between a Buyer and Vendor, payment disputes should ordinarily be addressed between the Buyer and Vendor and, where applicable, through the relevant payment provider or financial institution.
Gpog does not ordinarily have control over funds paid directly to an independent Vendor.
Users should retain appropriate payment records, receipts, messages, and other evidence relating to their transactions.
9. GPOG FLEX PAY™ DISPUTES
Disputes involving Gpog Flex Pay™ may be handled according to the specific terms applicable to the relevant Flex Pay transaction.
Users participating in Flex Pay agree to comply with the applicable payment, fulfilment, cancellation, and other transaction requirements.
10. LIMITATION OF GPOG’S ROLE
Gpog provides a platform for users to connect and access services.
Except where Gpog is itself the provider or contracting party, Gpog does not guarantee:
- That a Buyer will complete a purchase.
- That a Vendor will complete a transaction.
- That a product will meet a Buyer’s expectations.
- That a Vendor will provide a refund.
- That a Buyer will accept a product or service.
- That a delivery will occur as expected.
- That a private dispute between a Buyer and Vendor will be resolved.
Users are responsible for exercising appropriate judgment and taking reasonable precautions when conducting transactions through the Marketplace.
11. LEGAL RIGHTS
Nothing in this Policy prevents a Buyer, Vendor, or other User from exercising any legal rights or remedies available under applicable Nigerian law.
Where a matter requires formal legal resolution, the parties may pursue the appropriate legal or regulatory channels.
12. POLICY CHANGES
Gpog may update this Dispute Resolution Policy from time to time.
Updated versions will become effective when published on the Gpog Platform unless another effective date is specified.
